Wolf Run Conquered

Wolf Run Conquered

I started trying to lose weight in early 2014 following an operation in late 2013. After several months I had a better diet and a lot more exercise going on but weight loss … not so much.  I had done some reading that suggested weights might be a good thing for me to try so I went looking for a PT to help me out.

I found Rebecca through the NRPT website.  She was fab. She made a number of easy to follow suggestions on my diet and got me doing some weights and circuits which were really good fun (not to mention hard work…if asked after a set of reps never say you’re good…that means more reps :p).  I was also aiming at doing the WOLF Run in the September. Couch to 10k muddy obstacle run in under 12 months … bit of a challenge…and Rebecca was fantastic with encouragement, helping with ideas for increasing fitness and suggesting specific things it might be a good idea to work on.  Not to mention assuring me I wasn’t completely insane and it was actually do-able when the collywobbles hit.

I lost 2.5 stone last year and I credit a lot of that to Rebecca.  It’s an obvious equation weight loss…but in practise it’s sometimes a little more difficult to spot what you need the help with and what to work on and Rebecca’s support and encouragement … not to mention knowledge of weight related tort..err I mean fitness…definitely helped.  Oh and the WOLF Run? Finished.  was more like a crawl by the time I bumped into Rebecca at 7.5k…but it was definitely the best fun i’ve ever had in a field … and I’ve got a t-shirt to prove it
